StarLight aims at developping an innovative packaging nanocomposite material derived from a renewable agri-food waste (starch) and nanofillers (such as 2D natural silicates or titanium dioxide), which will be both modified with reversibly photocrosslinkable groups. Key innovative points of the project are the reversibility of the curing reaction, the sustainability of the nanocomposite, the smart features of the nanocomposites combining mechanical stability, gas barrier, enhancement of the shelf life of the packaged product.
